Still no sign of the latest controversial ad making a reappearance on our screens. But when I saw that the Starburst Choozers ad was back on TV for summer, it did make me wonder why it has yet to be pulled from prime-time viewing. Don't get me wrong, I find it appalling that supposedly "modern day" parents have such negative views on what is merely a little lighthearted entertainment from Heinz. But surely a policeman licking a bloke's face is more homosexual than a quick peck on the lips between a gay couple?

Hayley, the Heinz ad isn't about a gay couple.
The mayo has turned mum into a sandwich vendor-the kids still call the guy 'mum' the vendor still behaves as mum even flicking up his leg during the peck.

That may be so, but it was easier to write "gay couple" as that is what people have complained about regarding the ad. Whether they GET the ad is a whole different ball game. Clearly this nice little effort by Heinz was lost on some of the parents of today. I'm just not sure I understand why these same people don't seem to have a problem with a man licking another man's face.
But each to their own, eh?
Hey! Thanks for the comment :) How did you find me? Well my plan was to get the feedback and make the contacts now so i'll be that little bit ahead of the rest when i go out to get a job! Start my second year in September, but going down to London again in August with another new book!

I know, i have some work from my last portfolio i could put up but i'm torn whether to do it. I don't really think its any good anymore! lol. I might stick the strategies up, that might lessen the pain? :0
I really like the Heinz one. I can't believe it's been pulled! Unbelievable. Starburst is far more shit - especialy the really weird 10-sec one they always show after it of the Chinese cowboy telling two morons that they "love it" no they don't, they love LSD, that's why they're seeing a multi-coloured Chinese cowboy on a unicorn.
"YOU LOVE IT!" ahh come on guys, you know you do! : ) Hahaha that unicorn guy is messed up - since when does being told "You love it!" actually make anyone love anything? It'd just make me wanna say "Piss off, mate!" lol!
It is a shame when short-sighted adults can't seem to find humour in anything anymore, and great ads like the Heinz one are pulled from viewing. I thought the age of Mary Whitehouse was over, but apparently not.
